So, are you? Have you thought about what you’re going to get that special someone in your life? If not, below is a wonderful list of suggestions!

The point of Valentine’s Day, today, is to celebrate and show your significant other that they are loved. A common way to do this is to give a gift! Something I have found to be incredibly helpful when giving a gift is the simple rule of thumb: get them something they want, something they need, something they’ll wear, or something they’ll read. I’ve put together a unique Him/Her gift list for you to give you some great ideas.

A “Want” for Him

If your man is into the new Fallout that just came out, these shot glasses are for him! You can find them at PK7art

A “Want” for Her

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with an adorable coffee mug… and if you want to fill it with Hershey’s Kisses, I fully support that decision. You can find mugs like this one at MixMugs

A “Need” for Him

A “Need” for Her

If your lady friend leaves her house, I’m willing to bet she takes a bag with her. This nautical bag is only one of the many adorable totes you will find at MaggieAnn’s

A “Wear” for Him

No one will be able to crack the “Time to get a watch” joke with this trendy time-teller! Find more watches like this one at the TreeHutDesign

A “Wear” for Her

A mermaid has no fear of depths, but a great fear of shallow living. Does this sound like your lady? Then this Moonglow Mermaid Necklace would be perfect, you can find this and more like it here at AimeezArtz

A “Read” for Him

The Legend of Zelda is such a classic, it really Links hearts *wink *wink, you can find this card at playerNo2

A “Read” for Her

This card is, simply, romantic! You can find this card, and cards like it at NaturePals

DIY Bottle Opener for Him

To complete this project you will need:

  1. A 2X4 piece of wood
  2. Sandpaper
  3. Bottle Opener for the Wall (I got this unique one at WorldMarket)
  4. Nails  Screws
  5. Hammer Screwdriver
  6. Mason Jar
  7. Velcro
  8. Hot Glue Gun (If you get Velcro with a sticky side you will not need the Hot Glue Gun)

Step One: Sand your 2X4 thoroughly, including the corners and edges

Step Two: After sanding your board will be dirty. To clean it all you need to do is wipe it down with a damp rag.

*Hot Tip: If you would like your 2X4 to look polished you can rub in a light coat of coconut oil, but be sure to use this trick AFTER you apply the Velcro so the Velcro sticks to the 2X4

Before and AfterLook at that difference!

Step Three: Screw in the bottle opener with a screwdriver. My bottle opener came with screws

Step Four: Attach the soft side of the Velcro to the Mason Jar, and the prickly side of the Velcro to the the 2X4

Step Five: Buy a beer, soda, or anything in a bottle and come up with an awesome pun for this gift!

Dang, Bae, you’re looking fine

I’m so glad you’re my Valentine

The Fail

What I wanted to do, was do an image transfer with wax paper onto wood… that didn’t turn out as I hoped.

Started out okay

It started out okay; I got the supplies, I sanded the board, and I cleaned it off with a damp rag

I chose the picture I wanted to use, saturated it, and defined it with contrast in Photoshop

Then I cut out a wax piece of paper the size of a printer piece of paper and printed the picture

The printer ate the wax… I know! I’ll tape it to the piece of paper

Uh, it still ate it… Hm… Maybe more tape will work?

It worked! Now I quickly pressed the paper onto the piece of wood with a credit card

Okay… that’s not too bad

But, where am I? And Justin looks smeared. Nope, this didn’t work out. I’ll try again later
